This class meets Saturdays, Oct 22nd + Oct 29th - 10:30am-6pm in HN 544

Full Course Description:

Directors have two distinct responsibilities – directing actors and directing the camera. The first requires an understanding of actors and the story being told; the second an understanding of film grammar– the visual language of film.  This two-day master class will introduce students to the basic elements of storytelling and offer clues to the perennial question confronting all filmmakers, whether in documentary or fiction: where do I put the camera and why?
