IMA full time faculty member and department chair, Kelly Anderson, is the recipient of a Redford Center Environmental Impact Film Grant! The Redford Center’s 2022-23 Grantee cohort consists of twelve film projects selected from a bi-annual open call that yielded 250 applicant projects from over 20 different countries featuring cross-cutting environmental themes of justice, water, land, and food.
Kelly’s film, Emergent City, with co-director Jay Arthur Sterrenburg and produced by Brenda Ávila-Hanna is about a Brooklyn community that grapples with the future of New York City’s last working waterfront as it faces gentrification, development and the need for jobs.
