About the film:

“A group of high school students from New York City’s South Bronx fight for equal access to sports. They organize, build momentum and win. They then decide to take on the entire school system, demanding their constitutional right to an anti-racist education. Shot over six years, this inspirational film portrays the ability of young people to fight for their rights and win real victories. While white politicians discuss what should be taught in schools and what books should be banned, FAIR PLAY shows what students themselves have to say about their educational experience, what and how they want to be taught and the opportunities they are entitled to. It is entirely from their point of view. “
