IMA students and alumni included in Sight/Geist exhibition

Four members of the IMA program are included in an upcoming exhibition called Sight/Geist at the space, The 8th Floor which begins later this month, with three themed group shows. 

The 8th Floor is on 17 West 17th Street and it is an independent exhibition and event space established in 2010 by Shelley and Donald Rubin to promote artistic and cultural initiatives.

About the film: “In the near future, a headset can induce lucid dreaming. The dreamer experiences touch, smell, and sound in a virtual dream world called Dreamland.”

slide 2 is a still from project, Sketches from Europe from IMA student Anne Sofie Nørskov and it’s part of the program, Dislocation which begins on June 22nd

About the film: “Three women with roots in Eastern Europe elaborate on their relationship to art and authoritarianism.”

slide 3 is a clip from audio first project, Signal and Noise by IMA alum Katie Matthews and IMA student Jess Shane and it’s part of the program, Policing Reality which begins on April 27th.
